SERVICING, REPAIRS, MODIFICATION, RACING PREPARATION

BRIEF BACKGROUND

JAGRACING have nearly 10 years experience in repairing modifying and servicing Jaguars (mainly for racing). During this period we have identified many of the problem areas in these cars. Naturally, racing road going cars puts a lot more stresses on everything from the suspension to the cooling system (& everything in-between!) Many of these issues also cause problems with Jaguars for everyday use.

During 2008 we decided to put this specialist knowledge and tooling to good use on customers road cars as well as Track and Race versions. During 2009 we have recommissioned for customers XJS 6 and 12 cylinder cars as well as S3 XJ6 and X300. Servicing has included most models from 1960's to late 1990's.

Apart from Jaguars we have considerable experience working on Triumph's, BMW's, VW's, etc.

SERVICING COSTS & WHAT YOU GET!

Comparing servicing costs between garages is an almost impossible task! Many garages have their own schedules that do not cover everything in the manufacturers schedule. It could be argued that some of these items are not vital. Also from experience it is also possible that other checks would be beneficial!

At JAGRACING we are flexible, and can carry out a Jaguar Service covering all items on the schedule, or just specific items as required by the customer. Our rates are £30 per hour (a fraction of main dealer prices). We also give you the choice of which components and consumables we fit to your car. There are vast differences in costs of everything from oil to a waterpump. Some areas are just not worth cutting costs on! We are happy to advise, but the choice is yours!

If you decide to opt for the cheapest quote, ask for a full schedule of items covered, whether this is just checking or includes replacement and what brand/grade of parts/consumables is being fitted! If the quote seems too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true!

AREAS COVERED

Our workshop is in Cheshunt Hertfordshire, which is only a few miles from the borders of North London, East London & Essex. Arrangements can be made to collect & deliver cars or take & collect customers from the local train station etc. Cars can also be collected from the Chelmsford area.

UPGRADES & MODIFICATIONS

Although we could fully race prepare your big cat, many people simply want to add a few optional extras such as cruise control or improve the handling or economy etc. Improvements include: Sports or stainless exhaust systems, De-Cat exhausts, improved breathing, fit and forget Polyurethane bushes such as Polybush, Super Pro, Superflex etc.

ACCIDENT/CORROSION DAMAGE

Our workshop also has facilities for metal fabrication, Mig and Gas welding, and Paint Spraying. Alloy wheel refurbishment is also available.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Modification for Race or Track Day use is available for most Jaguars. Please let us know your requirements.
