JEC POWERED BY JAGUAR CHAMPIONSHIP

UPDATED 10th October 2007

11 Jaguar powered cars of all different shapes & sizes lined up on the grid for the final Championship race of the year, and possibly ever! (Due to low grids the PBJ series will most likely lose its Championship status).

To make matters more interesting, the race was combined with the Sports Car V Saloon Car challenge. It also made it utterly confusing for the spectator due to the fact that several other Jaguars were competing in the other race. Lawrence Ball & Roger Webster both driving XJS's conforming to Class D finished 2 seconds apart, but were not in the same race!

I have only listed the cars competing in the PBJ race!

Thornton Mustard did a fine job finishing 1st in PBJ and second overall, only beaten by a Ford Mirage M1! Allan Glover finished 2nd & 4th overall.

Usual front runner Steve Davis failed to make the race following head gasket failure! Lawrence Coppock was the first Class D car, and clinched the overall Championship with 76 points. Class C winner was Chris Palmer, who missed out on the Championship by 2 points despite having scored more than Lawrence! This was due to one round being dropped (lowest score).

It seems likely that the PBJ will continue into 2008 in some form, but probably combined with another series to boost numbers.

During the winter period, we will be making some changes to the website, and adding some more pictures from the races throughout the season.
